offensive representations of Christianity as the restraint that they have in not wanting to offend Muslims? Wouldn't it be fair to have the same standard of tolerance for each?

Yes, but since when have they cared about not offending Christians...Tolerance is their slogan, but obviously it is selective tolerance.

The difference is they're not worried Christians will firebomb the buildings or murder them. Sure Muslims may get offended at Westerners way of things sometimes but that gives them no right to terrorize or murder anyone simply because they disagree with what someone else's opinions are. As far as they're concerned apparently it's their way or death and I have a major problem with that. Here in America we have the right (or are supposed to have it) to speak our minds the way we see fit, and yes someone may get offended. It's not like we disagree with them in Iraq. When we're disagreeing with them in our own country and they still get mad they have a problem. I have the right to my own opinion and if they don't like it I don't care.

Are you kidding me? Christian-Bashing has ALWAYS been acceptable. Christians turn the other cheek. On the other hand, if you even suggest Moslems are backward, bloodthirsty, cutthroat tyrants and idiots as they demonstrate regularly, well, the next thing you know you, your family, your friends and anyone who even talks to you will have a fatawa issued calling for their heads so of course everyone is going to be like walking on eggs around Moslems.

It's not the same.Islam has many strict rules, like it's forbidden to put Mohammed's' image on paper(T.V whatever)but walk into any Catholic or Christians house and they have Jesus plastered all over the walls.I haven't seen any disrespect of the Christian religion in the media,so I can't see where your coming from.
