He was in the french quarter, usually around Jackson Square or the cafe du Monde. He wore a colorful hat and looked to be about 100 years old. Does anyone know what happened to him after the storm?

I haven't seen him since Katrina. I hope he's all right. There are so many old faces missing from the Quarter these days. Ruthie the Duck Lady is okay, though.
