So far I have been real lucky pinning diapers on my own kids and when I used to babysit, no pin pricks to mention, but I'm wondering just how many other moms out there have accidentally stuck a baby before while changing cloth diapers?

Just once while babysitting before I had children, and learned how to stick my own fingers instead of the baby. If you run the pin through your hair it will be sharp and go through cloth diapers easily.

To tell you the truth that is one of the reasons i choose to use store diapers I am afraid my son would get ahold of the pin and hurt himself. But dont think I am insulting you cuz i know some people on here can be mean but I am sure this happens to many parents

We use disposable ones, so not I... I dont actually know anyone who has used cloth either. I did accidentally poke my daughter in the heel with baby scissors while trying to cut her toenails (she obviously didnt approve of that and was flailing around). Felt VERY guilty about that, even if she didnt make a big deal of it after a good squeal of surprise first though. Oops!

No, I use disposable diapers that velcro. I have however accidentally poked my eldes with a safety pin when I was putting it on one of her skirts to hold it up. She moved because she was scared I would poke her, I did since she moved I would not have if she stayed still!!

the truth be known a lot more first time mothers AND fathers have stuck the kid than will admit to it. It is part of the learning thing. I do not believe any kid ever died from a pin prick though

i would be too scared to use cloth diapers with stick pins . . . I can't hardly pin on a corsage, so I know pinning a diaper would be too frustrating, then to add to that, sticking my newborn baby with a pin . . . I wouldn't be able to handle it . . . Pampers, here I come!!!

Awww, yes I did...I felt SOO bad! He was fine, but I cried and felt like the world's worst mommy. I then learned to put my hand behind the diaper and poke me first!
