I am 5'9, but I like this guy who is only 5 '5, Im afraid to ask him out because he might not like that im taller than he is

being only 5'5" it's gonna be difficult for him not to date a girl thats taller than him. you might as well ask him out.

I'm 5' 5" in height. I dated a woman when I was in college (before I got married to yet another woman... long story) and she was a professional skier at one time, was a full professor at the college and she was 6' 3" tall (incredible legs!) We would still be together except for her teenage son who was getting racist-feedback from his dad... she was going to send him to live with his dad but I did not want to come between a mother and son.
I also dated a woman who stood 6' tall (her brother got angry with her when we broke up; my short height bothered her in public). I also lived with a woman who was 5' 11" for about 3 years and I lived about 2 years with another woman (built like an Amazon) who was 5' 10". I've had several ladyfriends that are also a slight taller than me... I'm not bothered at all. I just don't like the idea of women nagging me and me having to deal with unjustified jealousies on their part; I open the door, walk out and keep walking.
Ask him out. He might say, "Yes." He may even like you but is afraid that his height would bother YOU. You won't know unless you ask. There's nothing wrong with it, really. My dad was just about 5' 0" and his first wife was 6' 2" (my half-brother was 6' 3" and his half-sister on his mother's side is 5' 9")

Most guys like taller girls. My boyfriend is 5'6" and I'm 5'9" and we are very happy together so just give it a try, he might like you and if not move on. Good Luck!!!!!

The worst he can do is say no.
It's not the end of the world.
Some guys are shallow like that, some aren't.

nonsence you should give it a try, and see how it goes. but you should trust you heart what ever you want you can go for it there is no rule that says that couples should be the same hight right?
