ok so since its Ramadan every saturday all the muslim people in our county have a party sort of a thing. we all get togther basically bring a dish and break fast with everyone kinda thing. anyway i am 18 and there arent a lot of girls my age. there are a couple of younger girls and all they talk about is anime which to me is boring. there are bunch of muslim guys my age, and even though i am friends with most of them in school, and 2 of them used to work with me( my good friends) they just ignor me at the parties. i am not allow to bring a cell phone. Now i kno i am not like ms. world beautyful but i kno i am not ugly because a lot of people in school ask me out. so WHY DO THEY IGNOR ME THERE??? its boring without any one to talk to...

I AM MUSLIM..thats why i am invited to these events. i am friends with almost all of them, i talk to them on phone and all ( i kno i am not suppose to but those are the only my age "muslim" people i kno)
and i dont think of them as dating. gosh no, just as friends....

As you should know in the Muslim faith Women are considered lesser beings to men. It would simply not do for him or any of them to be seen conversing with you at this event. It is really a mediaeval thing but it still happens today.

well i am going to guess your not a Muslim girl and if you are talking about why they ignore as far as a relationship, then they probably just aren't interested i mean all the Muslim guys i know date Muslim girls, cause that's cause the purpose of dating is to find a marriage partner and they want to marry a Muslim. Also traditionally they dont date, at least not in the same way we would think of dating. but yhea if you are just talking about friendship then maybe they dont consider you as good a friend was you consider them.

Because they dont want to spoil the religious and spiritual values of Ramdan. There is no meaning of fasting if your mind is not purified even at the time of breaking fast.

My guess is because their parents are watching. Maybe their parents have some crazy rule about talking too friendly with girls in public.

Well if they are ur frends you have to understand that this month is of great value religion-wise and they are just trying to be more devotional.
don't feel bad they aren't ignoring you.....they are just a little busier =)

probably b/c their families are there too and they dont want to disrespect their slightly more religious parents. trust me my hubby, muslim too, ignores me his pregnant wife when he is around his family!!!
