My cat has the blanket thing too, so she now has her own Hello Kitty blanket. She cries for those plastic rings on milk jugs, run up to you from out of nowhere just to grab your ankles then runs away, goes crazy whenever she hears a cellophane package being opened (she likes to play with cellophane), tries to crawl into envelopes, makes confetti out of the newspaper, and does this wierd hoppy dance to try to pull up the doormat.

Yes If you were kind to the cat and loving then it's going to show you by knedding your belonings and depending on what kind of cat you have it wants to show you it's in your life since you are feeding it and showing it affection. As far as the fleece blanckets it's a tranference from the soft belly of it's mom. Must be a kitten or love the smell of the fleece blanket. K? Hey it could do worse ?

I have a microfleece blanket on my bed and I can't keep my cats from kneading on it. They purr while they do this. Here's something a little sick: When my oldest was a kitten I had a fleece Dallas Cowboys blanket folded up at the foot of the bed and he would always get on top of it, knead, and purr. Then one day I lifted up his rear end and he had a huge red rocket!! (this was before I got him fixed). I think cats are more human-like than we give them credit for...

Depending on the age of the kitty, especially if still a kitten is a separation issue. usually kittens that knead and suckle on blankets, toes, towels, etc, were weaned too soon. It's actually a fairly normal habit that they eventually outgrow unless really stressed out. My two like to lick toes, and do "love bites" on the back of the ankle when stresses out. Don't worry about it, just keep one fleecy for him and tell him no on the others, will realize it's ok on his blankie, just not all of them.

aww thats cute :D you should get him a little kitty bed with a fleece blanket. is it a baby? baby kittens do funny stuff. when my kitty was a baby, he used to take hangers and carry them around the house. The dog my mom got was lazy so i taught my kitty how to fetch, play dead and shake. he also attacked people on command, but he got older so now all he does is sleep.

Hi there...some cats are known to suck on wool, plastic, blankets, and other objects. Some believe it's due to either that the cat was weaned much too early or that it's a genetic trait more commonly found in asian breed of cats such as the Siamese, Birman, Burmese, etc. This behaviour is known as PICA. Here are some web articles about cat who have PICA:

Mine do the same thing. I thought it was funny because I would lay down and there would be little wet spots on my blanket and I was like ewwww yuck...and I finally caught the little brats sucking and kneeding on them..I think it is because their momma weaned them way too early. What is even funnier is that they are full grown now and still do it...LOL

I knew a cat that used to drag around a fuzzy blanket and hump it like it was his "little friend". lol
My cat Pi (3.14), I had him when I was younger and he loved Dice (Di, one). He would get it out of the coffee table drawer, where it was kept, and he would bring it to you and throw it at your feet for you to throw it for him in the hallway by the front door of the apartment. The he would run to get it and he would jump up and hit the wall with his one paw, come down and try and catch the di as it danced all over the floor from the hit of impact of it on the lunolium floor. He then would bring it back to you like a dog, wanting you to throw it again.
