So this guy I know calls me "pretty cute" and "pretty attractive." He calls some other girl "pretty hot."
What's the difference? Is one more sexualized (the hot one)? Is one more based on the face or what...

pretty, cute, pretty cute, cutie, sweety= basically means that you sweet and innocent and girl next door. Pretty attractive is putting it nicely that they probably aren't very interested unless they say it in a certain tone that hints that they really dig you but they are just casually saying it. Pretty hot, hot, smokin', sexy, amazingly beautiful= mean they have a stronger attraction and it's more physical and sexual. They want to get in your pants most likely. But they are being discreet and mature about it and not saying sexual inuendos. I would have to say that cute would be mostly the face and depending on what you wear. If you dress like a modest little school girl or just nothing too revealing. And hot would be more with the body and assets and if you dress provocative or show cleavage and such. That would be categorized with hot. Unless you are attractive enough to look hot in even a turtleneck then that's the exception. Everyone has their own terms and meaning to what they think is cute, attractive, hot, beautiful, and pretty. So don't worry too much about it.

cute is more like how you call a baby or a puppy/kitten "cute". It's more of an sweet, innocent term rather than sexy.
hot is sexy
attractive is pretty or having physical appeal, not necessarily "sexy" though..someone may say "that is an attractive young lady" but that person may not think of the woman as hot..

"Hot," means very pretty.
"Cute," means pretty, adorable, sweet, etc.
"Attractive," means JUST pretty....
"Pretty cute" means he thinks you're really sweet and adorable, not "hot" but could be considered "attractive".
He calls the other girl,"pretty hot" because she isn't "cute" or "adorable", she's probably slutty. He is probably looking more at her whole body than her face. It could be based on what girls wear or how they act....that's just my guess....

I think hot, cute, and attractive are all the same... i dunno.. i use them at different times like when i'm around the guys i say hot.. i think it's kinda like i don't want to send the wrong signals to my girlfriend cause if i call her "hot" instead of beautiful.. then she may feel like i'm just trying to get in her pants or something.. i hope that helps.. i'm kinda rambling..

*hot*- means to be "equipped" with cetain features (if you know what I mean)
*cute*- means that his\her face is very attractive and it brightness up your day
*attractive*- means to be both "equipped" with cetain features and be cute at the same time.
Long story short, the attractive one has all the features.

it depends on each boy...ive talked to boys who see it differnt....but cute is usually behavior and face......attractive is any positive goodthing ...e.g beuty pretty, hot, sexy, etc......and hot...is just i guess hmmm....for me...hot face then body could be hot too..but hot cute or attractive could just be face....
but thats just me
