Pasteurization is the process of heating food for the purpose of killing harmful organisms such as bacteria, viruses, protozoa, molds, and yeasts. Whereas homogenized is where they take milk and chop up all the particles so that it stays a liquid. If they leave the milk how it is, fresh from the cow, when you go and pour a glass, there will be a layer of fat at the top of the milk, so they homogenize it so its a liquid.

Homogenation is the breaking up of the fat in milk into microscopic particles so that it doesn't separate back into cream on the surface. Milk is an emulsion made of both fat and water soluble components, and the two have a tendency to separate. Unhomogenized milk needs to be shaken very well before pouring.
Pasteurization is briefly heating a food (juices, milk and beer! are most common) to a temperature of 160 degrees to kill off bacteria, and then recooling the liquid for storage and shipment. This extends the shelf life, and prevents most foodborne illnesses.

Homogenized means that the milk has been mixed thouroughly to keep the cream from seperating out. Pasteurized means the milk has been heated to a temperature sufficient to kill any harmful bacteria prior to packaging. The law generally requires milk to be pasteurized before selling.

pasteurization is a process that will kill germs.
a good way to remember the difference is:
pasteurization looks like pasture. a pasture is full of wet grass and manure and bugs, bacteria and germs-- remember germs, and then killing them
(it's really a processes names after Louis Pasteur, but who remembers that?)
homogenized comes from the Greek roots "hom-" meaning same, "gene" like genes, your make up, and "-ous" meaning: quality of. . . so it's "having the qualities of the same make up" or 'made into one'

I'm guessing you're refering to milk here.
Homogenization is a process in which the elements of milk (curd, whey) are kept together instead of seperate.
Pasteurization is when milk is flash boiled to eliminate bacteria.
