From the sounds of your question, it appears that the dog wasn't living with you, that he was living with some woman that was watching him for you for whatever reason. As someone pointed out, a healthy dog doesn't die suddenly and for no reason. If I were you, I would have an autopsy done on your dog, have blood analysis done, etc., to determine the cause of death. And make sure to mention to the vet that you think that drugs might have been involved and why you think so. If indeed your dog did die from a drug overdoes then I would contact the police.

If the dog was given drugs and/or poison that caused his death that is considered cruelty to animals and the police and animal control will not stand for this and will prosecute the person(s) who did it.

I am truly sorry for your loss, and definately have a vet do an autopsy on your dog as quickly as possible.

A healthy dog does not just die suddenly---the heavy, hard breathing could be indication of him eating some crack---in the future do no let him outside near any drug places. its sad and I wish there were a way for you to get out of such a unhealthy enviroment-can't you move -to a better neighborhood? Will pray tht God find a way for you

Is this a real question? Why was the dog near a crack house anyway?

I would call the cops on the crack house, even if they didn't poison your dog.

they definitely didn't throw out crack! however, someone probably poisoned him, you need to get a necropsy done, just in case there are small children in the area.

have a drug analysis done and you will have the answer to your question

sorry about your loss, but I think you need new neighbors...or move. poisioning a dog is cruel.
