yes i do, thats the problem of the other people they just think of the material things but why don't you just sit down and think of where all the things came. God is holy, he made everything, you could read bible so you could find your answer to your question, before im hesitating to believe that God is real, but as i attend at the church contionously, i've started to realized that theres an enternity, that when you die you would go to a place called heaven and hell... i believe that you believe that there is a heaven and hell, then if you believe why don't you convince your self that there is god??? i know its hard to believe it cause you can not see god, it was just like that... you KNOW that there is air because you can feel it but you can not see it like God.. you can not see him but you can talk to him.. you can ask him for wisdom that no one can gaive you but only god, God had a purpose for our life. jesus came down to earth to be our mediator, he sacrifice for our sins, he died on the cross even he is sinless.. thats all i can say to you,, chao...!! god bless you.. hope god would make a way for you to clear up your mind that there is GOD.... thanks,,

First, you have to define the term "God." The problem with most theists is that this term is a moving target.

In addition, because there is no evidence either for or against the existence of God, you cannot use deductive logic (a+b=c; therefore c-b=a). You can only reach a conclusion by inductive reasoning using the balance of evidence (90% of A is also B; C is B, so the chances are 90% that C is also A).

I will assert (and others may shoot this down) that the only RELEVANT definition of God states that he intervenes to circumvent natural laws.

If God circumvents natural laws, then it is impossible to understand natural laws. All scientific findings would have to include the stipulation, "it is also possible that these results are an act of God, a miracle, thereby making our research meaningless."

However, since we have been able to expand our knowledge of natural laws (evidenced by every appliance in your kitchen), the scientific method works in this discovery. And the likely conclusion is that God, at least the intervening kind, does not exist.

Additionally, if God is defined as all loving, all powerful, and all knowing, then it is impossible to explain suffering. Either God is not all loving (he acts sadistically), not all powerful (he cannot prevent suffering), or not all knowing (he created suffering by mistake because he didn't know the consequences of his actions).

If God is less than these and/or does not intervene in our existence, then he is either non-existent or irrelevant. The classic argument is that I cannot prove that a china teapot is orbiting the sun directly across from the earth's orbit. But while I cannot prove this is not true, the evidence against it is compelling.

The evidence against God is equally compelling, and while it is not possible to prove beyond any doubt, it makes more sense to live your life as if there were not God.

It is more compelling to me that humans have invented God to reflect the thoughts of the ruling powers in a particular time. Because humans are always looking for reasons, when none are found, it was the natural inclination to declare the cause to be "God" (or gods). As the faith grew, miracles and laws have been ascribed to this Divinity, and an orthodoxy grows up around it.

Successful religions over the long run also are accompanied by some level of economic well-being to the populace. Unsuccessful ones are seen as false because they don't lead to improved lives.

Now it seems unhelpful to believe in such superstition. The only matters that aid in our ongoing well being are work, location, health, sustenance, and pure, blind luck.

So no, I don't believe God exists. And you know what? It's okay if you do believe God exists.

There is a God because there are some things that are supernatural, like people whose doctors have given up because they couldn't anymore be cured by medicine but were cured by a miracle or by the prayers of righteous people. And you know that it is not just that, although people call Him different names.

There is even a thing called redemptive sickness.

If logic behind religion is what you seek, you are not alone in your thoughts. This has been asked by people of the past. Read the work of Saint Thomas Aquinas.

We cannot deny the existence of suffering because there are people who side with evil.

Do you remember evil asking God that he bring up the worse circumstances to test Job? Job wouldn't have suffered had God not allowed evil to do it but God trusted Job and Job never abandoned his faith in God and whatever evil took away from him, God rewarded him back, hundreds of folds. Saint Augustine says "God allows evil to bring about greater good."

Believe because even evil believes that there is. Otherwise, evil has deceived you that God doesn't exist. "Where evil abounds, let Grace abound even more. God is there." Call on Him. He will aid you. It is by your faith that you are saved.

I am pastor of the First Hypothetical Church, and we definitely believe that many people believe they believe in the real God, and many others in the possible God.

We at this church fervently condone all beneficial beliefs, so to answer your question, yes, if there were a god we would be the first to believe in it.

We are avid, we are fervent, and we love talking to strangers. But you must understand many people believe various things depending on the context. One thing you would not agree with me on, if I said it, would be: "From now on, in all mishaps at sea, God will rescue everyone."

Why do I believe you would disagree? Answer me that.

Before i am going to answer you this question, i have to ask you whether you know yourself or not? Only those who know themselves will know the God. It is rather hard to tell a person as how to visualize the existence of the God. You deeply believe
that wind exist, right . Can you see the wind? In order to believe God's existence is to see it through your heart not your naked eyes. The Almighty had created human from four substances namely AIR, WATER, FIRE AND EARTH. Logically all the four substances do exist in our bodies , besides air and water, fire in the form of blood and our flesh in the form of earth. If not our bodies would never accept food grown out from the earth. As the Christian priest always say during the funeral ceremony :-
Air to air, ashes to ashes, earth to earth...........Amen.
