I have been meeting with one of my best friends one morning a week at Starbucks for the past 10 years or so. It works for me. But, you shouldn't have to be so calculating about a friendship. Are you a Christian? Or are you not a Christian and you don't know how to operate around one? There is just something funny about your question.

Are you worried you're going to become sexually attracted to them? I'm not certain why a Christian friendship should have such anxiety around it unless you're concerned your going to want to move beyond friendship into romance. And then, it can move toward a Christian romantic relationship. If you're worried about being gay, say so, and then the issue can be discussed more in line with your concerns.

You are an anxious puppy, though!

David had a friend whom was a brother to him, they loved one another as themselves and were so close, that many suspected them to be gay. For iron sharpens iron, so the countenance of a man sharpens his friends. friendship is open rebuke so that the wise may discern knowledge, so help one another, aid one another in your walk for the lord our god. When he is weak lift him up and when you are weak he will lift you up but remember that a cord of three strings is not easily broken, so speak to one another with the wisdom of Jesus. Do not forget the father who saved you from death, speak to one another of your revelations, speak to one another the words Jesus gives you for one anothers benefit.

lower your IQ and act dumb around them.

they hate being around people who are smarter than they are (and that's just about everyone else...)

oh -- and try this:

talk in parables.
drool a lot.
have a blank stare.
mimic the words of a minister you know (so they'll think you're just discussing what you've been directed to think).
quote scripture often.
when anything about sex comes up, say "ewwww".
jump up and down, and clap, if you hear the word "jesus"
