if your christian, your closet.
Matthew 6:5-6: "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men....when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret...."

It's important to have some quiet time. In the summer, I like walking along a babbling brook. I read from my Bible the Proverbs, than go on to other books. After reading, I pray. And the praying is like talking.
When I can't walk outside, a quiet room where I can be alone is nice. The important thing is to be alone in a quiet place.

Go into your room, close the doors and just talk. For what he sees in the dark he will reward openly in the light. Also be aware, to pray in solitude shows genuine desire for his company, be not as the religious, who speak many words before the eyes of men for their praise and not the praise of god.

Your church, during a quiet time, like a weekday morning. Just sit in the sanctuary. But quite truthfully God is everywhere, so just close your bedroom door, leaving all noise and mind cluttering things outside and bond away.

Hi! I don't know where you live but I always go to a Benedictine Monastery. It's extremely quiet with no distractions and monks are usually known for their deepness and inner peace. They are also versed in the mystical and can guild you in meditations and spiritual direction. I'm from around Buffalo NY and I go to the Abbey of the Genesee and it's dreamy! ( and free!) God Bless!

Try late at night, when everyone is sleeping. Pray out loud and expect Him to talk back. And alway write down what He says. Don't worry, He'll talk so you can get it all. Never spend any less then 10 minutes praying. Prayer is a conversion, not just you talking to God.

If God exists, wouldn't God be anywhere and everywhere? Why would you need a "place" to find "solitude?" This makes no sense whatsoever.

I have an area in my bedroom that I can go to and pray..I pray when I wake up in the morning, before I go to bed at night and sometimes when I just need to talk to Him. I close my doors, turn the TV or radio off and pray. It really makes me feel good and He has my undivided attention. According to the Bible you are supposed to go to your closet and close the door, however I know that I am all alone in my room and no one is watching me pray.
God be with you

Well since the concept of god is a human invention I would have to say in your head. Then again if your bonding with the voices in your head you need to be locked up and medicated.

Go inside - look into your own heart and mind. Lay in the sun and meditate - go for a long walk or run with no music in your ears or cell phone - take a vow of silence, if only for the weekend.
Peace!
