your body needs a minimum of 1200 good calories to function well. Anything less than that, will do you more harm than good.

Try and eat a well balanced diet that you get good 1500 calories. Not from fatty or fried food. But from lean meat, fruits and veges.

You dont need to run a mile everyday.

Watch what you eat, run a total of 6 miles a week. ie: 2 miles for 3 separate days would suffice.

good luck.

1 lb of body fat equals 3500 calories. To lose 1 lb in a week, the daily calorie intake should be decreased by 500 calories. You already eat 1000 calories per day and if you decrease it by 500, you will be malnourished. Calories seem to have a negative implication in the eye of the public. Calories is simply a form of measurement to assess energy that is derived from food source.

You are at your ideal body mass for your ht and wt. For your resting energy equivalent, you need a total caloric intake of 2569 of energy requirement to conduct heavy activity such as exercise.

Experts believe that fasting or following a very low calorie diet defeats weight loss plans because the body will interpret eating patterns as starvation and will compensate by SLOWING down the resting metabolic rate, making it even more difficult to lose weight. I would suggest eating more frequent but smaller meals rather than the three large meals per day or starvation.

p.s. others are right in that you need proper nutrients in order for your body to function properly in the long run.

If you run every day & strictly limit your food sources & intake you need to address your protein intake as it's such a high impact activity you need to repair what's happening to all your connective tissue in your ankles, knees & hips. Walking at sufficient pace to elevate the heart rate actually burns more energy than running or swimming. Yes you will see a weight reduction but unfortunately at the risk of your long term health. 1000 calories is not nearly enough. Usually it is recommended not to go below 1200. You won't be able to run a mile a day on 1000 calories.

Excersize definately helps, and, cutting calories won't solve all your problems, you need to make sure you are getting enough nutrients and stuff, especially protien, but meat isn't all that great for you, eat beans, and nuts, and drink plenty of milk

(i have lost 4 pant sizes in 2 months by doing nothing but going veggitarian.....(i'm not a tree-hugger or anything, but, it helps-alot, i just have to make sure i get enough protien each day....(soy chicken sandwich slices have like 15 grams of protien a serving, and like NO FAT!!!!)))

Running is a good form of exercise but I would say working up to it would be better so you won't hurt yourself - and not exercising at all at that point. Stay away from fast food and eat more veggies and fruit. Stay active and eat well and you'll be healthier.

You will not loose inches, the inches are not tight. You might lose inches, though.
