you're already doing the best thing you can be doing. If you're young, or in your teens, guys aren't often looking for their best friend. It's usually a little later that they stop and think who's the best person for them, and when that happens- they realize the best girl for them is their best friend, and that'll be you. He'll stop and see that you're the only girl for him, but it'll take some time. Just keep being there for him, and extra- when he breaks up, be the shoulder he cries on... that's the best place to be! good luck, I hope things work out!

Let me tell u gurl for ur own safety, my best friend is a guy and he is madly in love with me......He truly lets it be known and I have been honest and up front with him on how I feel. Which is only friendship, because I can chill with him in a safe and comfortable way. Lately he's been too affectionate and obvious about wanting more. It's only driving me farther away from in. Just because the sight of me is hurtin him. My advice is just dont express your true feelings unless ur sure he feels the same. It's only gonna hurt u both in the longrun. Good luck and keep ur head up. Remember ... guys come and go and best friends r forever.

I think it's up to you. If you can take the risk, tell him that you like him very much. But, if you don't want to be his girlfriend enemy, then forget him... You should choose the best or you'll regret it...
