You need a skin lightner that can be purchased at most beauty supply places or even better ask your dermatologist about prescribing a cream and that way you'll get the
strongest safest type for your skin. Yes, I did/do suffer and use the cream to maintain.

These dark spots are skin that has gotten rough and dry. Buy a loofah and scrub your knees and elbows with it everytime you shower. You can also buy body washes that have scrubbing beads in it to exfoliate as well. If this still doesn't work, you can use a pumice stone (gently) on your rough spots. Also, use a thick cream lotion every day on these areas (Eucerin is a good brand). In winter, most people have this problem to some degree.

Your elbows and knees get very dry, and when they get dry it makes them look like they are darker, you should exfoliate your knees and elbows and put alot of lotion on them. My son has the same thing on his knees. Or it just could be the pigment of your skin. Your elbows and knees have thinner skin so therefore the pigment in your skin appears darker in those areas, and that is why the palms of your hands and soles of your feet are so light, because the skin is the most light in those areas.

It's mostly dead, dry skin. Get some shower exfoliating gel...Dove or any brand and start rubbing the dead skin off. It will take a while, but it will work. Go to Bath and Body Works, they have great products and even good stuff for guys!!

I don't have that problem.....but my soulution is MOISTURIZE MOISTURIZE AND MOISTURIZE!!! I don't think its from leaning on your knees and elbows too much..it may just be your skin color, or a pigmentation thing. I know pleny of people who have that. Don't sweat it. It may go away..or it may not. If your really annoyed by it..go to a dermitologist. They'll have an answer for ya. GOOD LUCK

There are bleaching creams on the market to help even skin tone. One product is called Black and White bleaching cream. It can be found in the Black ethnic sections of most grocery or department stores. I am Caucasion but the bleaching cream helped to fade dark spots I obtained from acne and the sun.

Apply vinegar or lemon juice. These are sopposed to lighten your skin. Also, "pretty hands and feet" has worked for me b4. Try the vinegar though. You would not believe all the uses their are for vinegar. It's unreal and my most favorite of all, IT'S CHEAP CHEAP!!!!
