Talk to a school counselor. Do you want to see a psychiatrist again? If so, talk to the school counselor about that, too. But maybe you could talk to your mom about going back to the psychiatrist first. You might need to think about the better strategy if your mom took you out of counseling because your mom didn't like it even though you were getting positive things from it. Another option would be to talk to your doctor. S/he will talk to your mom, but you might be able to get some help there, too. Hang in there. It does get better!

First, it is not against the law to be depressed. Humans all get depressed at times. You know the hormones thing can feel like depression because you are changing. But you will at some point calm back down and discover another sense of stability. It is hard to say when, but you have to be patient. Sometimes it is chemical problem in your body. That is what hormones are, chemicals. You are adjusting to a new being. It is not easy. But just give it time and it will straighten out for you. Talk to the nurse at school, counselor, dean and so on. Until you find someone who will be able to communicate well with you. Hang in there!

Well, sweetie ... if you're talking about your mom taking you to a counselor, then obviously you're still young to be at home with mom and probably still in school. Go to you school counselor and talk with them, that's what they are there for! They will help you talk with your mom and get everything worked out to help you. Or just go straight to your mom and say, "Mom, I think I'm depressed and I want to see the doctor about it." Depression isn't something you can fix just because you want to, it's caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain and that takes a doctor's help to fix. Good luck!
