Standard prescription treatment in Uk is indomethacin a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug-not opioids.
Opioids used most commonly in chronic pain are tramadol.
If you go to your nearest Health centre and register temporarily with a doctor as a foreign visitor they will see you and prsrescribe either indomethacin or whatever else they think you need but you will be charged for this servce andfor the medication.

There are some private walk in clinics like the medical express service at some railway stations as well.

Take care

Opiods will not be effective in chronic gout as they have no anti-inflammatory properties. In acute gout, there is a build up of uric acid crystals in the joint which causes inflammation and pain - the standard treatment is usually indomethacin or naproxen for the acute phase, then a preventative medication called allopurinol once the inflammation has settled. You can buy some kinds of anti-inflammatories at a pharmacy or supermarket, but you will need to register with a GP temporarily for prescription drugs such as naproxen and allopurinol.
