Well next time use Alcohol it works and don't leave a residue. You can probably use any dog shampoo. Just make sure that the water is warm. Good luck and when you are done give your puppy a yummy treat...

Because it's a petroleum base product (like grease) try using Dawn dishwashing liquid. Make sure it doesn't get in the dogs eyes. Also, while it might sound gross, if you can get your dog to lick the vasaline on her furr, it would help. And it wouldn't hurt her either...

Dawn dish detergent. The same happened to my dog. Freak accident.
if that doesnt work (which it should) take it to a good groomer.
May I add RINSE well. And don't try putting it in the dishwasher. That just isnt acceptable.

Most people will gag at this for some reason but here it goes. Shave it off. Dont worry, believe it or not, it WILL GROW BACK!! If you shave off all his fur then put a sweater on him til it grows back in a few weeks.

talcum powder, keep combing, adding more until most of vaseline is out then give a bath

r u sure thats what u were doing:}:) dawn dish soap works good.but afterwards use conditioner or it will dry out its skin.

stick him in the toilet and flush over and over and over again, add dishsoap. tough on grease, soft on hands!
worked on my giunea pig, but he didn't like that, so he ran away through the plumbing...wait! that's probabley why my sinks clogged!
