It's ok, from a logical standpoint. From an equally logical standpoint, it depends on what church you're at. If you're around violent fundamentalists, you're liable to get your a** kicked. I hope you're boyfriend is as hardcore as the Punisher, Then you might get away with making out in church.

when i was a teen ager there were this couple that would hold hands and cuddle in an overly friendly fashion for church...no tounge kissing or anything but it was still kind of creepy and gross..and to make matters worse they always sat toward the front where you had to see them....

No, of course not. Don't you as a family hold hands when you pray at get togethers? Hand holding is a show of unity in your faith and devotion to God.

if one is there to worship God then God should have ones total attention if your holding hands with a BF or GF then your attention or mind and heart is not centered on GOD but yourselfs in the old days the men were on one side the women on the other...as not to draw attention away from GODS WORD or worshipping Him in SPIRIT and in TRUTH if your minds on the hands holding thats Flesh then your not worshipping GOD in Spirit or in Truth Words of wisdom dont let the worldly things nor the flesh take you away from the TRUTH even tho it may seem ok and be Nice isnt always what is right with God and your life !!!

you will have to use your own judgement on that one
i have a feeling if i express my own opinion you or someone else here will gripe at me and im not in the mood for it
i can tell you most christians consider homosexuality a sin and it is a sin according to the bible--however homosexuals are not disrepected or otherwise unwelcomed in church--if you feel like people are staring and it makes you uncomfortable then save the affection for after church
church isnt about you and your partner it is about god and worshipping him if this distracts you do whatever it take to put your full attention to the lord

is this the 'clothing optional' church or the 'clothing required' church.
i'd be careful of which 'hand' he was holding, if you get my meaning, at the 'clothing optional' church. you don't want the gossips to start talking!

showing signs of affection in a place of worship is...disgusting to the eyes of the Lord! sneak into the confessional box for more privacy.

Is 'hold hands' a euphamism? If so, then yes it's wrong. If not fire away.
