The American Psychiatric Association states "Although same sex behavior has always existed, the idea of a homosexual identity or a homosexual person is only about 100 years old." More significantly: "In 1973 the American Psychiatric Association's Board of Trustees removed homosexuality from its official diagnostic manual. All major professional mental health organizations have gone on record to affirm that homosexuality is not a mental disorder."
Read that paragraph again!
The only demonstrable reason that I am heterosexual is because it's how I was conceived. I was born heterosexual. Period. I didn't "learn" nor "choose" this sexual orientation from my parents, church, school, or at the mall. Moreover, not even for one second am I so ignorant, so gullible, or so blind-sidedly prejudiced as to imagine that any other human chose their sexual orientation either.

But - you see - it's NOT one or the other. Your question is the same as this: What is 2+2? it's either 17 or it's 56. Choose! One or the other!!!! If your answer isn't either 17 or 56, don't bother answering. It's the same thing. You're asking a question, but you only want people to respond who will answer incorrectly. Which means to me, you're not really asking a question that you want real answers to. Think about it for a few minutes, ok?

I think some people do make a choice maybe because of rebellion or whatever, but I don't know if those people are true homosexuals or just people in denial. I don't think it is a menal illness at all. However, I think it really is some sort of genetic blip that just switches that sexual preference somehow. You didn't chose to be hetro, did you? It's just how we eneded up. It's not like a conscious choice. That's sort of how I think of it.

First off Mr. Stallion (coughs) you can't ban anyone from answering your stupid question. They ARE born that way the same as you were born a boy (coughs harder) and I was born a girl! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO JUDGE OTHERS?!? IF YOU ARE SUCH A STUD (pukes), then you should worry about gays right?

Both. I belive there are genetic reasons for gender ...uh...confusion and I believe homosexuality can be the result of some sort of sexual trauma at an early age. (Molestation perhaps) I also tend to lean MORE toward trauma because homosexuality is denounced in the Bible and I would challenge you to find any BIRTH DEFECT condemned by Christianity.

selection. no person is born "gay" the two, as that suggests it extremely is a genetic blunders, inflicting a guy or woman to examine somebody of their very own gender in a sexual way. This, whether can't be the case, as for that to take place, the mutant gene could of ought to been transmitted from the gay parent to the youngster, that's impossible when you consider that Neither gay adult men or women people can reproduce.

Most of em I reckon it's a mental illness but some choose it to be noticed and "be different".
To say you are born with it is a childish refusal of responsibility.
It is a terrible sin in Allah's eyes.
