This works but you need more speaker to fully use the 6.1 channel for the surround sound 6 are number of speaker left, right, front left front right, rear left, rear right and the ".1" is for a sub woofer. Connect all video sources to the Sony then send to picture to the LCD. Use big cables for the speakers 14AWG seem small.

Yes everything looks compatible, the receiver has the proper connections for the speakers, and it has both composite and component video, which the LCD accepts.

Yes it's compatible, but with on two speakers you will not get the surround sound you seek. You should be using five or speakers at least, and a subwoofer.

Yes, but you have to hook everything to the home theater.
Not from the TV.
