mashed with a little salt and butter. then I like to chop up some kale and mix it into the potatoes with some lemon.
or
take your uncooked potatoes and cut them in half. use a fork to make train tracks on the flat surfaces you've cut open. then put them face down on a baking tray that is brushed with olive oil and some big garlic chunks. then bake them. they will absorb the olive oil and garlic flavor and smell and it's just divine.
also
when I've got some time and I want something a little greasy potato pancakes are pretty tasty. grate them in about a 65/35 ratio of ptatoes to onions. mix them with a raw egg and some salt and pepper, then form them into pancakes and fry them in a skillet with oil or butter. serve them with yoghurt or sour cream and apple sauce.

My potatoes? You're asking about my potatoes? To tell you straight up, I don't like my potatoes.
But what does it matter whether I like my potatoes? What kind of question is this anyway? Is it your idea of a conversation starter?
I'll try it next time, in a setting where I wish to break the ice and get friendly with people, I'll go up to someone and say: "Do you have potatoes at home, and if so, do you like them?"
Or perhaps I'll say "Do you like the looks of your potatoes? If not have you ever considered keeping them in the refrigerator?"

i'd broil a large piece of meat, like a ham, something with some fat, and put it in a deep dish and put in some chicken or beef broth, add some little baby potatoes and broil it. the potatoes will be soft, moist and delicious. plus u don't have to dirty another pan so make a side dish!!!

peeled, quartered, tossed in olive oil, butter, garlic, pepper - cook in preheated 425 degree oven for about 30 - 60 minutes. when the potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside....mmmmmm
substitute duck fat for the oil/butter and the roasted potatoes are out of this world!
