No it's not. I am very open minded when it comes to other people's practices and sexuality. However the one thing that should be very clear to all people, is "consent". "Consent" isn't just a matter of a person saying "yes"... issues involved with consent include the law, and just as importantly... emotional maturity.
I remember, very well, my group of friends when we were all 12-13 years old... and the way we talked at school about things like sex. We all talked big, and tried to sound like we knew what we were talking about... but honestly, we were a pretty innocent bunch. And it's funny looking back on it now. That kind of talk floating around school seems to be part of growing up. Your friends might talk the way they do, more because sex is such a mystery to them, than anything else.
If any of your friends who talk like this sound like they're really having sex at this age, or are distressed when topics like this come up... you'd be doing them a favor if you gently encourage them to check in with a school counselor.

All I think is that 12-13 year old kids having sex is sick nasty. Have you ever looked at a 12 year old? They're so young! And I remember how stupid I was at 12. Should he wait until he's older? Well, if I was him, I would. When I was 12 sex was like this whisper whisper giggle giggle type thing. Not like I would actually go out and do it. No, it's not weird to be 13 an d never kissed someone. What the hell? Sex is not something you just go out and do on the weekends because you're bored or you've never done it before. There's nothing wrong with being 12, or 13 and being stupid and immature. You ARE 12/13. You CAN be immature. We all were at the age. And I'm not trying to say, I'm this all-knowing fully mature person at 17, because I most definitely not. I'm 17 and I know for sure I'm still not ready for sex AT ALL. When will I be? I don't know. Am I saying everyone should follow me? No, but I think you'll know when YOU are ready. And trust me, I've felt A LOT of pressure to do it. To the point I almost did have sex because I thought I was ready because I was being pressured. Do what YOU feel comfortable doing. The world doesn't revolve around girls and sex. It's not that great. Girls kind of suck. Worry about something more important.

Absolutely not. 12 and 13 year olds are in no way capable to deal with the consequences of having sex, which means they should not do it. Once you are old enough to cope with, pregnancies, STD's, commitment and everything else that comes with it, then you should start thinking about it. Definately not at the age of 12 or 13.

Lets assume for a moment they did have sex and the girl was pregnant at the age of 12. Imagine a pregnant 12 year old and imagine how she would look, how she would get through school, who would take care of the baby, how would she preast feed, how would the father make a living?
Sex needs to be left to adults.

What kind of crazy school do you go to?
That is right off the page.
I say "NO!"
Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or agnostic, 12 and 13 years olds should not be having sex. And don't ask, "Well, is 14 or 15 OK?" No, it still is not!

12 and 13 year olds are not able to be responsible for the consequences. They are not emotionally mature. Asides from that, and lots of other things, it's just not right.

Young people at that age are not fully developed. That includes not only their bodies but their mental development.
Having sex at that age can cause emotional damage, not to mention the damage that can be done to their young bodies.
I feel that young people should abtain from sex until they are old enough to take the responsiblity to deal with what may happen such a getting pregnant. Of course, it would be better if they waited until they married. More people would stay married if they waited in my opinion.
