It usually don't cause any problems at all. Depending on what you are allergic to. If you are allergic to the ink or the metal you will have an allergic reaction however if you are taking medication to "Prevent" the hives then you should not have any problem. Call the show where you plan to go at or go there and tell them you have urticaria and want to get a tattoo tell them you are currently taking medication to prevent the hives. Some shops in some states won't do the tattoo but most will. So you will want to ask beforehand. Different shows have different rules as far as skin conditions goes. Some shops won't tattoo a person who haves acne on any area where they have acne, (face, chest, back) So call before to find out. You would also want to let them know if there is any product you know you are allergic to that they might use, like products to sanitize the area, tattoo goo/ A&D ointment and such.

I have Urticaria also, and my tattoo did not cause any type of reaction. So you should be fine, but it really depends on what type of things you're allergic to. If you have extremely sensitive skin make sure the lotion you use after the cleaning is Curel non-scented. A doctor will just discourage you not to get a tattoo. Just take care of it and if you need more info on proper sensitive skin tattoo care give me a shout- Mary
