they are blocked salivary ducts, they come and go because when they become unblocked the swelling goes down and youdon't notice them anymore. Harmless. Unless you get a stone in the gland, which you would know because the swelling would not go away.

They could be related to irritation due to having too much salt in your diet. They probably clear after you've flushed some of the salt from your system. However, I do recommend that you keep an eye on them because you don't want to leave it if it changes or gets worse. Then you need to have it checked by a physician right away.

Canker sores are usually found on the movable parts of the mouth such as the tongue or the inside lining of the lips and cheeks. The ulcers begin as small oval or round reddish swellings that usually burst within a day. The ruptured sores are covered by a thin white or yellow membrane and edged by a red halo. Generally, the sores heal within 2 weeks without scarring. Canker sores range in size from an eighth of an inch wide in mild cases to more than an inch wide in severe cases. Severe canker sores may leave scars. Fever is rare, and the sores are rarely associated with other diseases. Usually, a person has only one or a few canker sores at a time.
Most people experience their first bout with canker sores between the ages of 10 and 20. Children as young as 2, however, can develop the condition. The frequency of canker sore recurrences varies considerably. Some people have only one or two episodes a year, while others may have a continuous series of canker sores.

It could be Thrush, its like a yeast in your mouth, alot of people get that. My grandbaby got it when she was very very young. Also use warm salt to swish around inside your mouth, spit it out. I would think Listerine as strong as it is wouldn't hurt either. I would tell you doc , and make sure it isn't anything contagious, he might have to prescribe something also. Keep well! :)

it might be an allergy to something that you eat. that happens to my brother when he eats shrimp or drinks orange juice. So it can be that also, along with the things that some of the people above suggested
