An ice cold rag on the forehead and back of the neck

There are a few things. Squeezing the tips of your toes can help, especially if it is sinus-related. I also like pinching the nerve bettween my thumb and my index finger. It's just a little further into the hand than the skin and tendon that runs between the thumb and forefinger. It kinda hurts a bit, but it can help with headaches.

Hot showers have helped before, as have ice packs. If it's stress related, a shower and a heated rice bag on the neck or back of the head can be very helpful.

Drink lots of water as well. Sometimes, you'll get a headache when slightly dehydrated. Make sure you've eaten and that it's not low blood sugar as well.

For migraine headaches, I'd suggest a dark room and almonds. Almonds, if you can have them, have a naturally-occuring chemical that fights migraines.

If you don't mind exercise, hit your aerobic level for about 20 minutes and your body will release endorphins, which are great pain relievers. They're actually more potent than morphine, concentrated the same. Personally, exercise and sleep are my favourite remedies for a non-migraine headache.

Depends on what caused the headache. If it was caused by booze or drugs, avoid booze and drugs. Naturally, the headaches will go away. Avoid caffine. Have your eyes tested. If you are living a stressful life, learn how to deal with it or change it.
I used to suffer migraine headaches and learned to recognize the signs that they were coming. I would do deep breathing exercizes before the headache had a chance to begin. That would prevent them. Sometimes, the deep breathing (you can't expect this to work with just 10 seconds of this exercize) would make the migraine go away. Works better than pain killers.

Certainly it is there. Eating when hungry and avoid eating without hunger is the first way. Improving our Nature is second. If h/a is due to stress, worry or bad habits like late sleeping and addictions one has to improve his/her Nature. Daily exercise is the best solution on all problems. There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic. Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it. Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see. Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds. The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects. Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole. Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there. But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong. If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds. It may disappear naturally too. Wait for the rain to come. Your sinuses can detect the drop of pressure long before the rain clouds come into the horizon.Press on the ones closest to your eyes, it should take away a bit of the pain.

If it is a hunger headache (you havent eaten in a while and the next meal is still 3 hrs away) suck on a hard candy stashed in your backpack or handbag.

Drink water.

The loop nerve is what I was told it is, what that other person said, its in the skin btween your Thumb abd Forefinger, pinching it, or applying equal amounts of pressure useing your other Thumb/Forefinger does work. If headache pain is on the Right Side, pinch the Left Loop Nerve, cause thats the way Brains are wired up, Left side controls and reacts to Right side, and visa versa.

i'm a 30-year headache sufferer. i recommend two things. 1) scanning. move your eyes back and forth very slowly taking in everything in the room. 2) feel between your shoulders. when you find the spot that hurts, massage it until it's better...the headache will go with it.

this is assuming that you have a standard headache and not a migraine. when i have a migraine i have to put in earplugs, cover my eyes with a blanket or mask, and plug my nose.

Press in the section of skin between you thumb and forefinger (closer to the side/base of your thumb) - there is a little fleshy party there. Press it in REALLY HARD for as long as you can. It will take away your headache. My husband gets migraine a Chinese Doctor told him about this. It works. Good luck.

Perhaps it would be advisable to find ways to prevent it rather than treat to get rid of.. there is a reason for it to occur and can usually be remedied..this is what chiropractors have been doing for over 100 years.. Is considered their bread and butter case.

It is entirely natural treatment.

Drink a cup of herbal tea and lay down in a quiet dark room.
I prefer green teas or ginseng teas
