All of you can do these things.
That's a paraphrase, of course, but Jesus was talking about raising the dead, healing the sick and walking on water. He was trying to tell Man that Man had the Powers of God.
Of course today we have CPR and a 14 year old Boy Scout can make some dead people return to life because they know the secret touch that restores lifes in some instances.

I think Jesus said a lot of important things and I think one important thing he DIDN'T say was create a church (and cause all the subsequent killing, persecution, etc) in my name.
I agree that we each hold a piece of the divine within us. Jesus was an excellent example of what Humans could be if they would truly apply themselves to living by his words alone. So in one sense, he certainly was someone to honor and emulate, but I think he really was trying to tell us that we are a lot more than we tend to think we are. We're not meant to think we are lowly sinners, compared to him, who could never hope to achieve the enlightenment he did.
When we go back to Spirit, we will see. We are all angels. If God is an ocean, then I am a glass of God.
Namaste,
Gwen

No we are not on the same level as Jesus. Jesus had an earthly mother, but not an earthly father. His Father is God. We are human, we are not divine. If we are born again by faith in Christ, we become children of the most High God, but we shall never be gods.
Yes, we are to follow His example.

we are not at the same level fyi Jesus is an angel(Micheal the arc angel, the leader of angels) plus he was with god in the beginning and he gave up his life 4 us so we may have a chance 4 eternal life.
-but u got something right we are all children of god/his creations even jesus,so this means that there is none higher than god

Jesus said ,"I am the son of God." We are all children of God.
You missed the part about, Jesus being perfect no sin in Him. No
we are not wrong for raising Him to His propper place. We are
sinners. He is perfect then, now and later. The only thing that
makes us free from sin is the blood of Jesus. That is how it works.

My guy, even as doubled up giggling after a narrative I informed, went all quiet and thoughtful, and that i discussed 'hi sweet?' and he stated 'no one has ever made me chuckle the way you do'...ah properly. no longer suited as such, yet he stated he did not imagine he'd ever felt this intoxicated through a woman till now and by no skill even had a drink. Humour... quells all of it.

I agree with you. I agree with Jesus. I try to follow the example of what he was teaching.
I believe it is too often misinterpreted.

Nope, the most important thing that Jesus ever said, and he said it right to my face, so I know he said it was "Make sure you water your tomatoes twice a day. Once in the morning, and once in the evening. And really soak them too. This will help to produce the biggest tomatoes possible." And he was right. I had the nicest tomatoes I have ever grown this year. By the way, how do you know Jesus? Do you live here in El Segundo? He is the local gardener here at our Senior Center, and he really knows his stuff. I have never heard him call himself the Son of God. This is ridiculous.
