My fellow Americans,if it were not for the terrorist attack on September 2001 and things were allowed to carry the same course,we the people would have not even noticed and hated so much the illegal immigrant and his position in this country. We are accustomed to do the easiest thing that comes to mind which is hate and prejudice, even walk away from the truth of our birthright and fulfill someone political agenda.Where were our hate when big businesses outsource our factory and skilled labor to other nations,or when we are hijacked to pay more for gas because of our fuel addiction,we say nothing. Are we so misdirected?the advertisement of the words written on the statue of Liberty is and will make this country a magnet for others around the world who are burdened with commonly unsolved social and economic problems in their country, but like the rich and affluent we fail to defend what makes this the last great nation on earth.History will never have the chance to compare the legacy of true freedom since we as the example have not taught the world the true meaning of what we now despise and misrepresent,I bet most of you that hate cannot repeat the words inscribed on the dedication plaque on the statue of liberty.

Well to me, "fair" is just another four letter word(like the bad ones we all love to use), but it is a crime if the marriage is done ONLY so that the alien in question may get a green card, but if the American in question loves the alien in question and wants to marry him/her for THAT reason, I don't see a problem with it, just because the other person is an alien.

Immigration is already prosecuting people in phony weddings. A legitimate marriage is ok, but I think it's a bad deal for the US citizen involved. I certainly wouldn't marry someone for their gain.

I don't think it is a crime, I know it is a crime. There a many checks and securities in place to keep this from happening, so it is a rare crime for people to successfully commit.

I think that's just not right, they're only making things more difficult for all the people that really fall in love and want to do things right, by coming legally here and marrying the person they love.

It is a crime to get married to someone to grant them a green card. I married my husband in his country because i love him with all my heart. He was here in America on a visa when we met. He had to leave and return to his country because of the visa and that hurt us both so bad. I love this man so much that if i cant find someone to help me sponsor him and bring him here with me so we can spend the rest of our lives together then i will be moving to his country. I will leave everything in the world that i have behind just to be with him. I dont think someone could really marry someone just to "give them papers". I believe they really love them deep down inside.

It should be a crime if that is the sole purpose of marrying.
And, are these marriages supposed to be consummated?

I think they should be deported even if they get married! It shouldn't be an option to stay!! If the person who married them wants to stay with them then let them "legally" move to their country!!!

I think what they're doing is treason.
It's pathetic that they'd even stoop that low.
