Technically yes since you can be a legal immigrant with a visa or a greencard (permanent resident).
Of course an illegal immigrant technically wouldn't be legally allowed to do anything (including own firearms) in this country.

Does it matter what they are allowed?
They need to be able to defend themselves from the NRA. At least the NRA says that everyone in America should be armed to protect themselves from danger.

I personally think that immigrants of any types/kinds should get the minimum benefits in society not UNTIL they become legal citizen, which should be treated equally like everyone else. Until then... please... government should keep it to the minimum level.
