Toothache usually refers to pain around the teeth or jaws. The most
common cause of a toothache is a dental cavity and the inflammation
of the pulp(pulpitis) Sometimes a toothache may be due to non-dental
reasons like infection of the ears and sinus. If a tooth is affected
home remedies like clove oil can provide temporary relief, but it is
advisable to visit a dentist for a long term solution. More information

A toothache is most likely due to an infection. Tooth infections can be very serious since the teeth are rooted so close to blood streams, and an infection can easily run through your body. For that reason, it is wise to see a dentist promptly. In the meantime, try placing a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide on the affected area. The bacteria that causes dental infection are anerobic, meaning they live with out oxygen. The peoxide breaks down into oxygen that actually kills the bacteria. This may do the trick. But beware... Peroxide is harsh. Only do this for 10-15 minutes at the most for a couple of times. If your tooth hurts a lot, you really need to see a dentist. It could also just be a bad cavity. Good luck.

I had a toothache and I mixed some ground cloves with a little chamomile and a pinch of salt and enough whiskey to make a paste, then put it directly on the tooth. It had been hurting me for several days, after I did this, it quit hurting for quite a while (weeks).
But get to a dentist as soon as possible.

I gave just some cloves to a truck driver and he put it on his tooth and within minutes, it had quit hurting.

You need to get the wisdom tooth extracted before it affects the other tooth as well. For pain control, try some ibuprofen (you can take up to 4 tablets at once, just don't exceed 4 doses daily), and some of the mouthwashes like Peroxyl which relieve gum pain and swelling.

Take ibuprofen. Then apply ambesol. Get the kind in the long slender tube. It is a twist applicator with a brush. It's more expensive, but it works for hours. Good Luck!

first, you will definitely need to see a dentist and he will have to send you to an oral surgeon. until then, take ibuprofen, that works best in the mouth. another good thing to take with it would be anbesol. also, if you are taking ibuprofen and that isn't strong enough, it's OK to take acetaminophen with it. just make sure you know what you are taking and how much to take according to label directions.

Gargle w/very warm salt water. Get to a dentist - you're going to end up damaging the neighboring tooth.

Take some aspirin and rub ice on your hand. The ice on the hand will keep you from thinking about the pain in your mouth. Then see a dentist the first chance you get.
