The "freshman 15" is a college experience for a reason- most of the college student staples are calorie bombs:

Pizza - most people don't realize that a meal is just one slice and end up eating 3 or 4.

ANY fast food combo meal (even the new "healthy" ones from Wendy's or just a visit to Panera bread!)

Beer (or alcohol in general) - it's why the drinking girls pork out later

Ramen Noodles - eaten for subsistence 2-3x/per day is a good way to be malnourished, but eaten WITH lots of other food and you'll wonder where all those empty calories came from!

Pop/Soda/Soft Drinks - concentrated calories that you don't even FEEL! Great way for the non-drinkers to gain weight at their own parties.

If you want to be really intentional about it, look at food labels and do calorie-counting, only look for high calorie foods. Generally speaking, foods that contain 500+ calories per serving is pretty hefty stuff.

Mc Donalds??? Just joking.

I myself tried this and it worked. You can eat following to put on weight:
1. Cheese - eat lots of cheese
2. Milk
3. Chicken. I would stay away from beef as it has lot of bad fat.
4. BEER!!!
