My friend is going to see a girl he has been talking to for a while. This is their first face to face meeting. They live in different cities. What should he gift her without feeling awkward? His budget is $ 50.00. Appreciate all the help!!!

well, if he has talked to her for a while, he should know what she likes!! personally, id avoid flowers and candy. those are so cliche and boring. get her something she can keep forever that will remind her of the person who gave it to her. go to a personalized gift store like things to remember or something...

Flowers are so boring. Ask him what they plan on doing on the date. Are they going anywhere fun? Ice skating? museum?- buy her something she can use on the date as a hint.
Does he know a band she likes? Are they playing anywhere that day- suprise her with tickets.
Flowers die...a thoughtful gift last forever.

Flowers are always nice, but make it a mixed bunch of flowers. This is first meeting. Roses are for serious relationships. Good luck!

I would go with the traditional flowers. No matter how cliche, girls like getting flowers, especially ones that are personally picked out. It shows caring and to me is just sweet.

A huge bouquet of her favorite flower, and if he doesn't know her favorite flower, DO NOT GET HER ROSES!!!! But yeah, an embarrassingly big bouquet of flowers.
