physically transcend the human body? By that I mean come to a place, or awareness of yourself, where you have the ability to (mentally) become a "spiritual" being where you no longer need a physical form to exist. A place where you were free from belief in anything and you were "the creator"?
I have had a vision of such a thing, and it made me feel like this was the ultimate goal of every "soul"
what do you think?

wouldn't that be nice, but the REALITY is that you are always in the physical presence. If u were to practice that and somebody next to you had a shotgun and used it, you would certainly "feel your physical form" cease to exist.

I am able to physically transend my body. I have been to UK several time to be with my wife. The creator is one. Truth is His name. He is the Creator, Without fear,Without hate, Forever existing, Has no limit to His existance Self Born. He is revealed by the Masters. You can not exist without a physical form. It would be meaning less to come into the world. There is no such thing as imagining yourself to be Spiritual You have to do some pactice to be come spirtiual

Here's an easy way to answer the question. Have a friend put a piece of paper with a word on it on top of your refridgerator. Next time you're in a 'transcendant' state, go float above the fridge and read the word. Did it work? Nope, because if it did, someone would have already won a million dollars for it. www.randi.org

Everyone feels special sometimes. Doesn't mean you are.

I think you are confused and afraid of truth. You are a spirit (in the image of GOd) which lives in a body (flesh made from dust) and you have a soul (your memory, your conscious). WHen you die, and only when you die will the spirit or breath of God go back to where it came from. The flesh will rot in the ground and the soul will not exist. Then when God calls the dead from the graves in the end time, your spirit will be reunited with your flesh, a new body if you are a christian and you will remember and know as you are known. If any of that seems to be happening while you are alive I can assure you that you are having delusions from the wrong kind of spirit and you best be careful what you believe.

Have you read any of Sylvia Browne's books. I found them very interesting. Each and everyone is a spiritual being whether we do anything with it is up to us. And yes we all have a soul and when we leave this earthly plain after doing what we came for we transcend back to our creator.

I suppose you were in deep meditation or other altered state of being? Yes... definately think its possible to feel the creator within yourself... thats the goal of bhuddism and so many other great spiritual practices. It is the ultimate goal . . . The creator made us in his image... and we're here on earth to experience with our senses before going back to the place of everything being one again... you've had a glimpse of the beauty of that... I'm still working on it=)

You are a Spiritual Being.
Living in a Body (flesh).
As long as the Silver Cord Holds Up, you can come out of it (body) and Return. For Real.

on the contrary, i think everyone has a soul, and that soul is based on the belief of something (or the belief of nothing). that separation of body and soul is death. you can have an out of body experience where you believe your soul is outside of your body, but i think this is just a vision and not an actual happenstance.

this is the belief of many pagans and spiritualists. that we live mortal lives untill our soul has learned as much as possible and that we then ascend to a form of godhood ourselves.
