This happened about a month ago, I am on the medical card, so my selection of dentists is extremely limited. I have been calling this dentist constantly to see if there have been any cancellations. When she filled it for me she told me the nerve was exposed, I don't want to loose my tooth, I cannot get into any other dentist any sooner and I'm sorry, but to me irreguardless as to wether I'm on the medical card or not, this dentist got paid for doing a job and she didn't do it!!! What legal action can I take? I want my tooth fixed!!!!!!!! It hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just the threat of going to the BBB (Betterbuisness bureau ) to the head nurse or the dentist should get you in.... and If not threaten to go to the media- BAD publicity will have you in the chair and fixed in no time! Good luck-

Lawers are expensive and crooks for the most part- but mention it is a possibility if she dosent make time to fit you in !

It really is too bad getting a big club and smashing his skull in is both an act of insane violence and against the law because the hell he is putting you through is about equivalent to how that would feel.
Even if you have to pay to get IMMEDIATE PROPER DENTAL CARE, DO IT NOW!!!!! You do not want to go into a pain state that is beyond words. Also, you can get a really dangerous infection. Your teeth are in your head. The blood vessels innervating the pulp of the teeth are very near your brain, eyes, and all that good stuff.
Take the bill from the dentist that does the repair job and send it to your old, lousy dentist. When he refuses to pay, contact: The Dental Standards and Ethics Board in your state, It does not cost you a penny to go to a Personal Injury attorney and tell them what happened. Maybe you could get even a paralegal to send the bill from the new dentist to the bad dentist demanding payment. Tell the bad dentist you are going to contact his malpractice insurance carrier if you want to put him into REAL pain!!!!!Good Luck!!!!

You should have gotten an emergency appointment as soon as your filling fell out. Why didn't you insist on one? At this point I would report the dentist to the dental board, write a letter of complaint asking for a refund to the dentist and call the next dentist on you list and get that tooth taken care of. Tell who ever answers the phone that it is an emergency and you need help ASAP. Also call your insurance company or department and report the dentist to them as well. This is something they need to know about. I feel your pain...I hope you get this taken care of soon. Good luck...and try ADVIL for the pain, my oral surgeon told me to take it when I had surgery and it really helps mouth pain well.

Just brush it with fluoride tooth paste and keep it clean. I seldom fill the gumline dentin exposures on people because of the high failure rate. The fillings come out because of improper preparation of the tooth and/or the possibility of clenching teeth. Clenching flexes the tooth and pops the filling. Many dentists put fillings in these areas just to pump up their revenue. Not everyone needs fillings in this area. Maybe you're one of them!

You should go to the dentist office and tell them you are not leaving until it is fixed. If they ignore you...start telling all the patients in the waiting room your story. They will probably take you back after that! (LOL) You could also get someone to call and pose as a lawyer?

I would let them know you have an emergency and need in NOW. They should take you right away. If not I would show up any way. I need looked at now because this is extremely painful. That is to bad, and yes I feel sorry for you it does hurt.Good luck!!!

did you tell them what happened, because I would think thats like an emergency so you don't have to wait for an appointment?
