Here is what happened to me. I ask the dude for the Meatball Marinara sub. He looks at me with this "all the lights are out in here" look and says "what do you want on it?" I though he meant bread so I'm like "regular", and hes like "and what else"? All the while there is a giant photo depicting the Meatball Marinara sub in the background. The guy asks the other girl working there if she knows whats on it, finally I just tell him whats on it. I felt like asking if I needed to go make it myself.

I've had so many mess ups at Subway. There stuff is great when you have a semi intelligent person working behind the counter, but sadly, this is rarely the case.

Well, that is awfully confusing. I mean the ingredients are listed right there in the name of the sandwich. If you had asked for a club, he would have known what to put on it, or a BMT, but meatball marinara sub, well, anything could go on that, right?

Yes, I had a similar encounter when they first opened in our area.

I don't where these "Subway" employees come from, but when YOU, the customer, has to instruct the sandwich builder how to make the silly thing, the very LEAST they should do is give it to you for FREE!

The first (and ONLY) time I was in a "Subway" store I had to tell the kid behind the counter how to make a Philly cheese steak, and this was in PHILADELPHIA!! I finally offered, rather sarcastically, to hop over the counter and show him how to make it (I used to be in food service). The resulting sandwich that he made was an abomination. You don't make a Philly cheese steak sandwich with beef (cooked) lunch meat, for a start.

Now I understand how their company spokesperson lost all that weight--he obviously didn't EAT the sandwiches, he just stood around with one in his hand and smiled at the camera.

And what's up with that really obnoxious shade of yellow they paint their stores interiors in? Awful, awful, awful... :(

The preceding is just my opinion and in no way reflects the taste (or lack of it...) of the customers who have made it a multi-billion dollar business or the products they produce. PT Barnum was right, I'm afraid.

Will someone please help me off my soapbox now...?

Have a great weekend. :)

Yep, it was a new one they opened; he didn't seem to know how to make the sandwich properly. I haven't been back to any SubWay since. I've only been to 1 SubWay restaurant that actually made a decent sandwich.. too bad it's far from me lol

Oh yes, some ditsy Iranian girl tried to put black guacamole on my sandwich. I told her it was bad and she was like ' I just made it 2 minutes ago' . Ya, sure it went bad in two minutes. I then proceeded to let her know she was in south Texas and almost every restaurant here uses avocados and there are ways to keep guacamole fresh and she needed to learn not to lie. Then she tells me 'okay it is from last night.' I wonder about some folks.

So I let her make the rest of the sandwiches ( I was taking orders back to the office for everyone) then as she wrapped the last one I told her, ' I lied too, I don't really want those' and I walked out laughing.

on an identical time as Yahoo is actual a liberal business enterprise, i even have faith that it extremely is extra with regard to the shown fact that the Muslims on YA whinge lots extra. they like to make a assertion (not often a question) and then to proceed to be unopposed. YA is meant to be policed by using that's contributors and it takes 2 lawsuits on a question or answer with the intention to hold it the the attention of the YA team. for this reason, if omar and yaqub (names I made up-not unavoidably real people) the two whinge then the question or answer could be bumped off even although there could be lots worse issues pronounced any opposite direction around. the only thank you to combat that's thru extra lawsuits in retaliation which i would not in all probability prefer to ascertain. in spite of each little thing, westerners (the tarets of maximum of those assaults) have faith in freedom and we would not prefer to silence those goofs...lots extra exciting to make fools of them. besides, the extra somebody complains...the fewer YA listens. that's undesirable information for those with such skinny epidermis as lots of the extra outspoken Muslim extremists on YA have.

Yes, I have had stupid people behind the counter waiting on me too. Rarely can they get it right without me repeating everything. Also, I am generally waiting behind stupid people in line that either don't know what they want or are ordering enough food to feed an army.

No, but once I asked the woman in Miami if the peppers they had were banana peppers, and she said, "these are not even bananas!" with a heavy hispanic accent. Ok, I skipped the peppers, but I had a great laugh, and a pretty good sandwich too! LOL!

Get this ...I was once getting a sub from there and the girl had the sub sitting there and a fly got on it while she was making another sandwich. I told her a fly got on it and she was just like ...duh, too bad. I asked if she was crazy, I'm not eating a sub that a fly was just on and she said she couldn't just waste it. I told her to just forget it and I walked out.

My only reply is "let's hope that he was just starting to work there" because my only other idea is that the dude sounds like a complete bone head.
