What part of the bible says that marriage should only be between a man and a woman?

I just want to see what people are talking about when they make referance to the bible . Correct me if I am wrong but I think the government is banning same sex marriage partially because of what the bible says. When I see news reports about this people very often make referance to religion and the bible.

Except for a few kings who had several wives, every marriage described in the bible is between a man and a woman.

Jesus, the second person of the Holy Trinity, God the Son, said:

But from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother (and be joined to his wife), and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh." (Mark 10:6-8)

I don't think our Government is banning anything. It's put to a vote. Be it by Congress or public.

Christians are NOT the only voters. Did you know this?

It's called General population. The general population is NOT Christians. This should speak in volumes about gay marriage.

Does the Bible say: Husbands..love your husbands like Christ loved the Church.?

Men and men, go forth and multiply?

God took a rib from adam and created a man? because man needed a helper?

Law of Moses was. Divorce was not allowed between a man and a man?

It is all through the Bible about marriage between a man and a woman. As well as men should not be together.

Marriage began in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, when God created the woman for the man and told them to be fruitful and multiply. Notice He did not make Adam and Steve or Ada and Eve. They could not be fruitful and multiply. God said that what he created... a man and a woman... was good. God is not a man that he should lie. Satan is the liar and the father of lies. It is satan who is pushing the idead of same sex marriage as he knows it is in opposition to God's plan, and will end the family, the home, and children.

Marriage is an arrangement that was instituted by God. At Genesis 2:22-24 states: "Jehovah God proceeded to build the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman and to bring her to the man. The the man said: 'This is at last bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. This one will be called Woman, because from man this one was taken.' That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh."

You may have forgotten that this country was founded on the Scriptures. This where the constitution and the bill of rights and everything else our country believes in is from.
When you ask, what part of the Bible, I wondering if its the part you are not reading.

Perhaps you should start reading the Bible and see for yourself instead of asking others to do your homework for you.
