If a cop is drunk when he hits your car, and ppl are killed/injured, can you sue the police for wrongful death or anything else?

I know about the Columbus incedent, as I'm in Columbus. What about if the driver of the car he hits, was high at the time (as they're saying she might've been), and she was in the wrong (her car went to his lane)? Would you still have a case?

Yes, you can sue them. Make sure you get proof that they did. Unfortunately, these days cops back each other up. It's not bad that they do that, unless they did bad. Make sure you have a camera or better yet, a camcorder. I'd hate to make cops look bad, but they do that to themselves by doing this (driving while intoxicated).

If that cop was in a police cruiser and/or on duty.....then HELL YES!
Cops aren't above the law,but a few of them seem to think that they are. This situation would be a good time to make an example of authority run amok!

only if he was on the clock... if it was on his own time you can only sue him (more likely his insurance company) He however should have been arrested if he was drunk...If the cop was on his own time and the police came, didn't test him or anything, or take him to jail, then you could probably sue the police dept

You sure can, especially if you can prove it. Check out the story in OH about the 2 cops who died, along with the woman.
