No civil rights.. check points where machine guns blast any car travelling too fast, helicopters and gun ships using high caliber ammo systems to destroy targets, doors kicked open nightly, guns held to women and children's heads, people "deteined" for no reason, people killed for no reason, rapes occur and are covered up...

Our occupation ranks among the most brutal in history. And yet...

How many of you have the yellow ribbon on your car?

To dumb to know whats going on, yet you march to the war drums...

"No. I am really tired of seeing our troops raiding Iraqi homes in the middle of the night.

I seem to recall our outrage when the British did that to us.... "

My point precisely.

i pity many answers in here ...

think as if ure Iraqis .. American has put ur "dictator" down, put him on trial, defeat his "oppressive" main army etc etc ...

and yet .. years after things happened, and no WMD found, the first-so-called "Liberator" doesnt move away n leave Iraqi (with their new government) to live in peace .... but yet our so-called "Liberator" keeps on walking with their guns .. points it on everyone "looking suspicious" n probably blow their head off right away ...

u wanna know why insurgents keeps on fighting?
cuz American is not Iraqis,
Americans doesnt know how Iraqis live,
Americans Occupies Iraq ..... and not LIBERATING Iraq like their promise ...
Americans thinks they own Iraq .. and Iraqis are their lil cuttie pet ...

*sigh*
(some) Americans doesnt care about Iraq and too arrogant to think about Iraqis ..

Beside, do you think CNN would tell u d real living condition in Iraq nowdays on Wolf Blitzer Live ed???even though if they will, do you think the your censor department would allow such things to be showed to Americans?
I have a video of cnn showing bunch of American soldiers killing a wounded-and-surrendered iraqi .. find it somewhere on limewire or winmx .. u'll get bunch of videos about how cruel the US Military are handling the iraqis .. from the civilians, to the insurgents ...

Question ur government once in awhile .. use your Freedom of Speech .. one of the basic of the theory Democracy, from the people, by the people and for the people ... not from US guns, by the Americans, for "Iraqis" ....

and dont play blind-and-deaf about whats going on outside the US ... remember, if China and North Korea really wanted to ... they can easily defeat and occupy US in 2 months ...

:)

no offence .. jz a 5 cents of mine ...

I would have no problem living under AMERICAN Rule---all the Murder-tortures going on is Iraqi against Iraqi- there are ciil rights there is now a IRAQI Govt with a Iraqi President in charge,Iraqi Police Force. Lets just discuss some Realities here and not just prejudiced too-generalized statements; At check points the cars that were fired upon were not just traveling too fast but were REFUSING TO STOP After being Ordered to Several Times, perhaps you should consider the no of Amrican Soldiers who blown up by CAR Suicide Bombers why they are now shooting BEFORE the car gets to them, Helcopters destroying targets is hardly happening anymore-and the targets are usually known hidouts of terrorist thqat would blow up the Americans and Iraqi ,Gun ships?----no coast so how do gun ships figure into this. Doors kicked in when no answer-when the door is opened for them no reason to kick in and this is not done nightly and is happening mainly in Baghdad-read the paper-most violent Iraqi city because of the Iraqi killing Iraqis, Guns held to--RIGHT NOW American soldiers are doing all they can to make good relation so this is not happening as much either-thing of he past, people deained and killed for no reason-blowing up Americans is a eason, No Rapes were covered up-as soon as the Service became aware of the girl that was raped and her family killed found the soldiers (who were no longer in the service) and charged them for rape, murder and now in prison over here. To say that Amrican Occupation is the most brutal in history is just plain not true and a most irresponsible statement to make-forgetting about the Japanese occupation of China years ago-mass slaughter, forcing Chinese women, girls to be prostitutes to the Japanese soldiers -so many atrocities that even today relations are strained, the Nazi occupation of Many European Countires-the Concentration death Camps and I could go on and on-none of these are occurring or have occurred by the general American forces except for isolated incidents and no coverups are occurring.I do not like the war-did not think the invsion was justified, although am hopeful that once the Iraqis settle and can overcome their relighion-Muslim differences then their quality of life will be much improved for now the butcher Sadaam is no longer there

You see that just it though isn't it you/we don't live there.
The rules are different aren't they.
War is a mind game. If someone kicked in your door and held a gun to your woman or boyfriends head you tell them everything they wanted to know wouldn't you.
Stop thinking the whole world wants to hold hands and sing Kum-ba-ya, they don't they want you dead.

You say the USA kill 10 times more Iraqis per month than Saddam did... *shrug* but hey believe what you want.
Where the hell did you hear that?
Oh that's right the foreign news channel like CNN,ABC and CBS.
You have no idea how generous our leaders have been.
If I was President during WWII. I would have Nuked the world into submission.
Canada, Mexico and surrounding Islands would all be part of the good old USA.
Zero tolerance for protesting publicly during war time against the war.
I'd rant on, but you're just not worth it.

The Iraqis that I met and talked with while I was there were happy to be living in a time when a free Iraq was at least a possibility.

Do you have any credible evidence to the fairly outrageous claims that you are making here?

Most brutal occupation in history? You propose that Coalition Forces in Iraq are more brutal than, say, Japanese forces in Nanking?

No civils right? Anywhere in the country? From the news reports I see, a lot of Iraqis practice the right of freedom of speech on a daily basis.

Yeah, I have a Yellow Ribbon on my car. Regardless of what you think about the war itself or the motivations behind the war, the Yellow Ribbon represents my concern for the military service members and their families.

So, are you saying we are not working with Iraqi's?

I could have sworn it was a coalition between the iraqi's and other countries to put in a safe government for them.

Here is an idea. If you think people want to live under the iron fist of people like saddam, why don't you try moving to a place like north korea.

If we really oppose the extremely frequent horrors of life in Iraq, then we ought to be very careful with our words. We ought not call something an "occupation" when it is better termed a "civil war." I do not make any claim about what it is, except that it is very violent. Let us first and foremost advocate for peace by being very careful with our language. Remember, without violence, language is our only tool.

I don't want. American occupation is the worst ever, obviously worse than saddam's dictatorship. Everytime they say they will conduct counter-terrorist operation, it will be a horror to us, as their warplanes and cannons will kill us indiscriminately, including our children, elderly and women. And, to make it even bitter, western media never show this, the destruction of Iraq. Instead, they broadcast all the lie about democratization and freedom. Yes it is a lie because only few of people can enjoy it, most of us live in fear and terror with F18s, Howitzers, and whatever those things are called

But if I fight back I will be marked as terrorist, what else I can do?

After living under the murderous regime of Sadam I think it would be a piece of cake and I'd be a bit miffed at my fellow Arabic countries for allowing their cowardly, vile, worthless, vermin, slim, Muslim fanatics to come to Iraq, while I enjoyed the most peaceful time in my life, and blow up my children.

Of course not! I hate that Bush made our troops get involved in another country's business and I hate all of the brutality. My heart goes out to the Iraqi people.

You need to remember that many Americans do not support the war. We can support the troops as they are our families and we care about them. We can protest the war but it of course wouldn't help anything. I just hope that less people are being hurt diring this war than the total number of Iraqis hurt and killed by Saddam.

I can only assume you would prefer to live in an Iraqi occupied America?

If rape occurs and is covered up, how would you know about this? Maybe you read about it in the paper or saw it on the news? Some cover up, eh?

Every other example you site is self defense - the terrorists will stop at nothing to further their agenda.

Perhaps you haven't heard their demands?
Convert to Islam........or die.

Judging from the tone and content of your question, I must assume you are either suicidal or you have already converted.
