I assume you both can write. Tell him you'd like to learn ASL...and see if he'll teach you.

You can also communicate on line

Date him anyway. You can start by writing notes and learning ASL as you go. I once dated a guy who didn't know a lick of English. I learned his language eventually. You'd be surprised how well you can communicate with each other without having to use verbal language. Between gestures, body language and paying attention to eachother, it's really not that difficult. It's frustrating and humorous sometimes....but that's ok.

That's so sweet..
You should try slipping him a note in class saying that you'd like to get to know him better.. I'm sure he can read.
Keep practicing ASL. You might find it useful, especially if anything happens with this guy.
Why not ask him for his e-mail address? Pretty much everyone has internet access..

Until you're comfortable with using sign language, I'd stick to writing notes back and forth with this guy. Body language also says alot more than you'd think. Just keep communicating with this guy.. You sound like a sweet girl, and I'm sure he'll appreciate your effort.

Go for it. I think it is cool for you to have a heart to see the bigger picture of HIM. Alot of trade schools and colleges have ASL classes. Also are library has a ton of videos and books to learn it. I'm sure he would love to teach it to you himself. Reach your hand out to him and smile.
I know some ASL and I have worked with special needs kids in the past. To this day I still remember some of it. My own kids think its cool and they like me to share some of it with them. Knowledge will always be with you.

sure i dated a deaf guy. he got here as much as me sooner or later and we communicated with texts. i actually cherished him yet he had alot of matters. him being deaf wasn't the reason we broke up. he became a liar and a cheater and very clingy. he talked approximately as and texted me in any respect cases of the night. ultimately i had to go, replace my selection
