Yeah I do think it's odd myself. Make sure to tell your friend to be careful. It doesn't sound safe:(

Love is blind. First an on-line relationship is hard enough- add in long distance to that..its going to be a hard relationship. Just be his friend right now... a positive friend is in his corner will be your best bet. Think if it was you - and you met a great girl and had a chance at happiness...anyone standing in your way or wishing you ill will would be in a bad place.
