For Thanksgiving, we all eat together and may go to take a drive or do something together as a family.
For Christmas, my family and I always watch a movie together. Christmas 2003 we watched Lord of the Rings and ever since then we've been watching movies together. We don't go to the theatre, we stay at home.
For New Years we stay up till 12:00 and scream, "YAY!!" when the new year has finally come. (Well at least I do, lol..)
Valetines Day...well that's really nothing but giving each other homeade cards and chocolate.
Fourth of July is just a BBQ and fireworks at the lake.
My family doesn't really celebrate Halloween but if there's a carnival or a fall festival, we may go to that for awhile.
That's basically all my family does, sorry it's not much. I'm just kinda tired today and can't think of too much.
Anyway, I hope I kinda helped and that you and your daughter can have some great traditions to do!!

A tradition that was started in my family when the grandkids came around was each year at Christmas the children were each given a large box. In that box was 12 smaller boxes. On the 25th of each month the children go to open a box. Each box had items from the dollar store in it. This way they had christmas all year long and looked forward to getting their christmas box each month. The best one was stickers! I had stickers all over my house and I could not say a word because I had bought them. :) Another thing that we do is each Easter we make an Easter cake (just a simple round coconut cake) and let the children decorate it. Be sure to take a picture, because no two are alike. Just a couple of ideas that are inexpensive.

Years of experience have taught me that a 3 year old will not really remember any tradition you start now. Wait a couple years ans start a tradition with her when she can really feel like a participant. I am telling you, at 3 she just wants to watch christmas cartoons, visit santa, and open presents. That is all the tradition she needs for now.

on the Thanksgiving Dinner, we might prefer to consistently arise and tell what we are grateful for. on the Christmas Tree, The youngest individual hands out each and all the supplies you shrink than the tree. Then we play 2 video games: We take turns naming occupations that paintings in the ineffective of night on Christmas. on an identical time as its your turn in case you will not have the potential to think of of of an answer you're taking a seat, the suited individual status wins. Then we play an comparable interest naming candy bars. On Halloween, We eat Pizza and get under the effect of alcohol mutually. Edit: (I genuinely have over 250 kin here indoors the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. So each now and then we hire the VFW auditorium for Halloween.) Edit: I forgot New 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's Eve: On that night we hunker down, and stay off the roads. My mom used to declare all people bypass to our very own little teepees.

I too was a single mom. Every fall/winter before Christmas we cleaned out her toy box of old & unplayed with toys along with clothes. We then took them down to the local Salvation Army and Woman's Shelter. I told my daughter that some people need her to share these things so that they can have a happy Christmas. We also bake and decorate cookies together, take drives to different towns to see the lights, sing songs while we trim the tree. Cheesy but at 6 she remembers these things and looks forward to them every year.

i would get together my wife and i with my family i would cook turkey stuffing potatoes a killer gravy, my wife would make killer deserts we would have friends over and then i would take a nap and when i would wake up about two hours later my wife, family and some of y friends would go to the movies. when we got back i would clean up the kitchen and thank my wife for a great holiday.
my wife left me and my family and friends left me for one reason or another and now i take my mother who i take care of, who has Alzheimer's, to dinner and spend the rest of the day and night by myself. i hope you never loose your family and friends.
