I love it coz it reminds me of my Glasgow granny. The most melodious accent I ever heard in Scotland was on Skye.

My answer is: Yes mostly, but it depends from where the person is. During my stay in Scotland, many years ago in Glasgow, people thought that I was from the isles and sometimes they pointed out North Uist at BBC Scotland as the place there I is born, but that they were wrong as I am from Scandinavia.

Yes I really do. There was once my manager from Scotland asked to me to switch off the air conditioner in screen 7 because it was flooding all over the screen, but I got so distracted by the accent that I switched air con off in screen 9. I was fascinated by the accent.
I have been trying to speak with Scottish accent but it is so hard. I am from Japan.

i'm hopeless at awareness Scottish, Irish or perhaps Welsh accents in the event that they are very reliable - yet i agree they are perfect! I quite like a Geordie accessory too. yet, sorry human beings, i detect a Birmingham accessory a actual turn off! Sexiest interior the worldwide must be French.

The Glasgow accent can be rough, they speak lovely in Edinburgh though. I've been trying to speak with a Japanese accent but can't pronounce my 'r's ;o)

i love the accent that john hannah has but some scottish accents are beyond my understanding (no offence just tlk slower, louder and with lots of gestures to stupid english ppl like me!)
