Good question. I believe that we are reborn until we 'get it' and then come back as angels, guardians..you know the people you meet that seem to have it all together and say or do something to guide you. That's my theory but I think if you are a humble and nice person it can only be good no matter what you call your higher power.

I really think religion was a man-created 'occupation' (if you will) as many church leaders, pastors, or whatever they are addressed as within their membership -make 6-9 or more figure incomes. So now you know why I call it an occupation.
Many professionals have done years of studdies and found that in countries where there are so many 'religions' that conflict in beliefs or countries where only one-two religion(s) dominates, the result is so much hatred that killing and terrorism becomes a mere 'contest' between religious groups. BUT, by contrast....countries that are primarily 'athestic', like Norway, Sweeden, Switzerland (a few I heard mentioned) live happier lives and killing for any reason is all but "unheard of". So....draw whatever conclusions you wish and believe any way you choose. :)
As for what happens to me when I die.......I'll never know. BUT...here is what I --HOPE-- happens. I hope I am reborn as someone as loving as I've always been, isn't beaten so often growing up fearing his father (like I did for 54 years), but instead has the happiest of childhoods ever, grows up as well educated and has all the children I had hoped to father (but couldn't) and makes more money than Bill Gates so he can help spread as much happiness as is possible. Those are my honest HOPES......

Not your choice of religion... your choice of relationship. There are only two ways about it... Either you work your way to heaven, or you ask the right person to give you heaven as a free gift. That is your choice. Every "Religion" in the world shows you different ways to Work to get to heaven. (by the way, all who work for it will not get it, they will ALL come up short)... it is only through a relationship with Jesus Christ that you get heaven. And it is a free gift that He will give to anyone who comes to him. Read Romans 4:4-5
What happens when you die is a judgement... either a judgement to eternal life... or a judgement to eternal damnation. Your choice.

To be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord...
I think Paul said that, not sure where it is in the Bible. Maybe somebody else...?

A Christian will go to Purgatory when they die unless they lived a life of heroic faith. If they have lived a life of heroic faith they will go straight to Heaven. After being purged in Purgatory they will then go to Heaven.
Those who have rejected Jesus in their lives will go to Hell.

the bible says the dead are conscious of nothing. It's like you are asleep. the bible says this but people have been taught that something else happens instead of believing the truth.
