for some reason my eyes turn red/blood shot most of the time I brush my teeth, it goes away after I get some coffee, this mostly happens in the morning, but sometimes it happens no matter what? Is the mercury leaking?

I have never heard of such a thing, but I'd say ask your dr. to be safe. It might be coincidence happening at the same time, but your eyes shouldn't become blood shot red anytime for no reason.

Have your bp checked when you get up in the morning. Get a boil and bite kind night guard and check for few days if you wake up with a bit of relaxed symptoms in the morning. If so, you may need to go in for proper TMJ consult. Further, if you suspect or feel silver amalgam erosion, get it replaced by composite fillings.

I think you are asking this in the wrong section. Ask an optometrist.

Mercury does not leak from fillings.

Check out http://www.ada.org/public/topics/fillings.asp#amalgam for a discussion on amalgam fillings.

probably ask your dentist, also i am pretty sure that mercury can leak from your fillings and get into your blood stream this is called metal toxicity, if you wanted to have your metal fillings replaced with porcelain ones then make sure you have a good dentist and make sure you ask him about the risk

It's possible that you could be having a slight alergic reaction to the smell of the toothpaste. Try a different brand and see if that helps.

Mine do that too and isn't that Listerine a killer. LOL! Jeez, makes me look all messed up and even my nose run. I think we brush too early when we aren't awake enough yet.
