I think the politicians that fail to realize the majority of voting, legal American citizens are ready to stop the legally immigrants from entering, receiving government benefits and taking jobs from legal citizens will be very disappointed on election day. If the politicians are really paying attention to what the majority of the LEGAL American voters want, they will enforce border security and deportation of any illegal immigrant.

NOT at all. Politicians know that the Hispanics here rarely vote and that most of the legal aliens don't like all the bad press that the illegal aliens are bring them.. THEY are catering to agribusiness, and packers like Tyson who want that permanent underclass subminimum wage labor pool that is so desperate for work that they will commit felonies and risk everything to get to where the jobs are..

Kay-kay please do not be naive. this are the facts:
Most Hispanics or immigrants have not yet realized the power of the vote.. so most of them DO NOT VOTE and politicians know it.
Politicians that are riding the pro-illegal immigrants are going to lose elections.
Most of Anti-illegal immigrants are Voters and that explains the "Wall"
SAD TO SAY The majority of legal immigrants with vote power are not pro-illegal immigration. its called "crab syndrome"

would be a good estimation of the situation. What we need to do is show our support for deportation, harsher penalties, and more secure borders (and no amnesty) to our senators and representatives by writing to them and signing petitions. It is for the good of America (don't make it the United States of Mexico). Do what's right.
Woodlander, let's think about something. . .
How do you think illegal immigrants get to vote? They don't possess that right (as they shouldn't) because they aren't citizens. They would have to forge citizenship papers. Are you supporting the breaking of the law (actually you are by supporting them in the first place)? That gives them even less of a right to vote because their cheating Americans out of part of their voice in gov't.

Or vice versa? Many want to get the racist vote and are hopping on the "We'll get tough with immigration" bandwagon which we all know is a smoke and mirrors joke.

Yes. But so what? And what bandwagon? Do you know how much money illegal immigrants bring into the US economy? Do you know how bad the US economy would be without illegal immigrants working in the US? How many legal American jobs would be lost without illegal immigrants working in the US? Do you know how much China and India would pound the US into the ground if we didn't have a lot of illegal immigrants?
