dont have any caffiene a few hours before you want to go to bed, also, dont exercise late in the evening, dont eat anything heavy...try to spend an hour just winding down before you want to go to sleep...
and if you cant sleep its best to get up in the night instead of laying in bed..
sometimes you just have to wear yourself out to sleep.

I am writing you because I cannot sleep. It could be lots of things. First, you could have an overactive mind that never wants to shut down....if you are going to sleep everynight at the same time that is good. Try reading a book...something relaxing or something that won't excite you and keep you up. Stress could be causing it but don't stress out because I said that!! Take a bath, drink some tea before bed.....sometimes eating something with carbohydrates can help you get in the mood to sleep. Hope you get some ZzzZZZzzzzzzz's soon!!!!

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

i don't know if it's insomnia, but i heard that a lack of a balanced diet and exercise can cause sleep problems. of course, i think the main problem is stress.
i go to sleep everyday by thinking about something happy or something i'm excited for, and try to put stressful thoughts outta my mind.

You sound like you just need to relax. Are you thinking a lot before bed? Try reading, or put a movie on but don't pay too much attention to it. Or try getting ready for bed at 10 pm instead.

Try doing something very relaxing about an hour before you go to bed. Try a bath, or a cup of sleepy time tea. Your mind is probably racing when your body wants to rest. This happened to me, so I did a bath and tea before bed and it really helped. Good luck.

Try something different. Don't drink anything with caffeine at least 3 hours before bed. Don't watch TV in bed, try reading instead. Think relaxing thoughts before closing your eyes. See if that helps, good luck!.
