Yes this happens to be true, although the change is minor people tend to eat more comfort foods during the winter because the tempeature changes. In fact this does happend to me, I usually daily go outside or exercise daily, but in the winter I begin to stop doing that.

Disprove global warming haha. Well the earth naturally goes through temperature changes very slowly and gradually because we do not revolve around the sun in the same circle. But we always revolve around in more of an oval sometimes closer and sometimes farther. It has gotten alot warmer in the industrial age. And has increased very fast ever since the dawn of this new age. The people that try to disprove global warming do it for business reasons nothing more. People think that just because the earth's climate naturally changes that means global warming is false. But no global warming adds to the problem. Think about it like watching a movie it's going to get to the end. But global warming is sitting there pressing fast forward. Now if we can slow the movie back to its original speed it will last longer and be more enjoyable. But I am not a climatologist so I could be a feeble minded idiot. But what’s wrong with cutting down on pollution anyway? It will only result in making the earth a more beautiful place.

I don't know if it's been researched, but it makes sense. With cold weather, people are less active -- less to do so they eat more.
Maybe something to do with less sunlight. I have heard that chocolate tends to be consumed more when people are depressed. Seems to make you feel better.
Also, in old days, there were less fresh veggies in winter, so people ate more starchy things like potatoes. Maybe it's just a habit left over from old times?

I live in far North.
We put on weight around winter's start regardless of our food habits.
If things become desperate---which, back in the day was normal-we lived on body fat.
It no longer applies, yet....the fat clings...

I sure do! But the real culprit in weight gain is the lack of exercise.
Skiers and cold-weather lovers won't gain weight, even if they eat more.
