My feeling is that anything before 18 is for the most part lust and wanting so bad to be in love that you trick yourself into a believer. Not that it can't happen though. Once you find a person with the right chemistry who is able to match you on a bunch of levels (brains, charisma, interests, etc.) and also challenges you, you'll get that same feeling back again.
It may also be that as we age, we guard our hearts more because when we wore them on our sleeves when we were younger, they were often broken. Open up and let your heart out once in awhile!

Wow, what a good question. I've always felt it's different. You won't believe me, no one does, but I've been in love three times and I'm twenty.
I agree with another one of the answers, I think the older you get the harder you fall. It's because unlike when you're thirteen you don't fall for every cute guy you see, even if you like someone and think they're a cool person, you don't necessarily fall for them. It gets more selective as you get older, i'm sure looks have a part in them, especially the first time you see them, but you'd probably fall in love later on because of their personality, because of how much they make you laugh, because of how unique they are, because of WHO they are basically.
But I've heard a lot that it's different for everyone so whatever you feel.

When your younger.. you fall in love quickly.. when you get older, you realize that love comes with so many things... lies, broken hearts, arguements, stress, dealing with all the BS from people... it takes away the "magic " of love. The older you get, the more you realize that the wonderful, amazing feeling of LOVE either does not exist or it is very very rare.
Plus, the older you get, the more broken hearts you have had, so that make you weary of people. You learn that you can't trust so easily, that people can lie for months before you really find out who they are. Yeah, love is a LOT easier when you're younger.

No its the same at any age..
You have more energy, you smile all the time, you feel lke you could fly, he or she is the reason the sky is blue, its the reason why you want to be a better person, its the reason why you giggle to all hours of night, the reason for not eating, sleeping, butterflies in your stomach and when you think nothing of their name every 10 seconds in your head, when you daydream way too much at work.
Its feeling alive.

Surely falling in love differs at different age... at a younger age some people just fall in love with love, and if they do fall in love, they are more uncontrolled.. At 27, you can use better discretion and you have better choices, so I believe at that age..
But love per see doesn't really matter at what age you fall in love,, it matters when it is your 1st love, 2nd, 3rd, or just a fling... can be mistaken for love also..

at 18 you just need to get out on your own,and explore the world, but at 48 people think they need to find love because they dont know how much longer they will live, and need some one to share the rest of your life with

I think it feels the same at any age. Love is love no matter what your age. I think it's just a matter of finding that true love again.
