Cool with me. It is much more universal than saying, for example, God bless you - which some people do and that certainly bothers me.
Blessed be could be anything. It's a general expression of spiritual goodwill which can match any listener's preferred religion. So I like it.

It was a common greeting in medieval times. Just modern witches and Pagans have kind of adopted it so it is associated with them.
I don't get offended when someone says God bless. should go all ways but it doesn't.

I have no problem with someone saying,"blessed be", if it means the same as,"have a blessed day". I, personally, feel blessed because I am a Christian and thank God for my many "blessings". If it is not of God, I have to be against it. I do not believe in witches, sorcery, magic, etc. Each to their own. I do want to say, have a blessed day. Peace!!

No, I'm Wiccan. However, I don't say Blessed Be very often. Unless someone said it to me first.

It only bothers me when someone uses it right after degrading me or my faith, imagine a Christian telling you, your going to burn as a witch but God Bless and Jesus loves you, kinda turns your stomach huh? Now imagine hearing "Blessed be" after that someone tells you that your Holy Bible is a book of fables and lies and that your an idiot for believing it.

I've never heard of anyone getting offended by this phrase. I have a doormat that says Blessed Be on it for Ra's sake.
Is it *supposed* to offend?

Nope, not at all.
Blessed Be
God Bless
Goddess Bless
all are acceptable. I feel positive energy can be given from one person of one religion to a person of a different religion. Positive energy is universal, regardless of the deity prayed to or the words spoken.
Blessed Be to you!

well, anything can sometimes be said in an attempt to get under someone's skin
but just hearing it or it being said to me doesn't offend me
It's mostly used by Wiccans and neo-pagans
