i just had my son about 5 week ago and me and my bf had sex a week ago.. when should i get my period, and will i get pregnant again rite away?

YES you most definately can get pregnant very early after delivering a baby. I did. I had a baby in 1984, 1986, 1989. I didn't get pregnant again for a few years and had my next baby in april 1992. I went for my 6 week check up and my doctor yelled at me-"I told you not to have sex for 6 weeks" of course I told her I didn't .Her reply was "Then how did you get pregnant?" I had that baby in March of 1993 (these two are the same age for a month out of every year) went for my six week check up and my doctor said" I give up on you - your pregnant again!" I had him in april 1994 and I was too scared to go for my six week checkup. I didn't have my next baby till jan 2001 so the answer is yes you can get pregnant within the first 6 weeks after delivering a baby. I believe your next period should be within 2 months but it may not be normal-that will take a while. Good luck and enjoy your bundle of joy

OMG have you not learned your lesson?!
You need to start birth control right away. Some women don't get a period for a few weeks, or even months if they are breastfeeding. Not true for others (myself included). Two weeks after giving birth I had my period. And I DID breastfeed.
So to squash the chance of having another, girl please get some pills! And if your period is gonna wait awhile, would you rather freak out every time you have unprotected sex, or enjoy the pleasure without worry. Little teeny pills, once a day, about 20 bucks a month, why WOULDN'T you?

Uh The 1st 6 months is the most fetile time for you. YES YES you could get pregnant. Not to mention your body isnt healed yet. You shoulda waited at least till your 6 week check up.. and birth control appointment.

How is it possible that you even wanted to have sex 4 wks after giving birth......anyway! If you are nursing it could be MONTHS before you get your period -- took me 10 mos to get mine. Some people get it back after 6 weeks....but I have always heard that women are especially fertile after having a baby! Maybe it is Irish twins for you! I have one friend with 2 girls born within a year -- her motto is -- the Dr says to wait 6 wks and he means 6 weeks!!

O my hon ... YES YES YES .. you can get preggos again. People say its abit harder if your breastfeeding but I know peeps that has been breastfeeding and still got preggos when there daughter was only one month old. And an other thing hon .. please heal up first!! Ask your doctor about birthcontrol at your next visit ( and ask the doctor to double check on your healing). My doctor put me on bc when my daughter was 3 months .. I think that was the best thing she done .. I couldn't begin to think of having two kids under a year :P ~Take Care~

YES, you can get pregnant right away!!! I know from experience. My babies are exactly 10 1/2 months apart in age. Take precautions if you want to wait on having another one.

it depends on if you are nursing him or not. if not then you should get it 6-8 weeks after having him and yes you can get pregnant right away

lol did you Dr. not tell ya wait 6 wks? thats for your body to heal oh yah and the first 6 wks your most fertile lol so yah you could be pregnant!

yes your cervix is still open from the baby so if is incredibaly easy to get pregnant again.
